Open Location

Why does the USATT struggle to announce the dates and locations for the Open and Nationals.  The dates and locations for the USATT's two major events should be known well over a year in advance. 

We're 4 1/2 months away from the Open and none of us know where it will be held.  Why?

I agree, and I'm not happy with the situation. It should be resolved soon. I want to make sure this doesn't happen in the future - we should know the dates and sites for the Open and Nationals two years in advance. At absolute minimum, we should be advertising the following year each time, meaning we should have been advertising this year's Open at last year's Open. We're "only" seven months behind. Groan.

What amazes me is that it's not difficult to schedule two years out.  When I was puting on events I was disappointed that I could only book 13 months out at one of my facilities.

With an additional day will the Open add more events?

Is it at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center?

Alas, it's not finalized which convention center we'll be at, or which hotel, but it should be finalized soon. I also don't know if there'll be extra events - the USATT board (which I'm on) isn't involved in that aspect. I'll report on these as soon as I know.
