Hello. I'm TK. I've been playing TT on and off for about 4 years now. The last 2 years, I have been more focused on improving. I've been doing a lot more reading, watching videos on technique, and trying out different rubbers/blades. Basically, I've been a bit more obsessed.
I found this site after listening to Podcast hosted by Ben Larcombe which featured Larry Hodges. I'm trying my best not to sound like I'm kissing a** but I really liked what Larry talked about and how he said it. He mentioned a lot of specific things that caught my attention: myth of overthinking, thinking in between points, and merely reacting during play. Coming from a football background, I really latched onto this concept. Both sports have an 'action' phase where things are hectic and a 'pause' phase where you are allowed to collect yourself and think.
I'm hoping this forum can be my table tennis outlet where I can discuss things that my casual pong friends find boring and unnecessary.
