Tip of the Week
Where to Place Your Putaways.
It’s Columbus Day (also Indigenous Peoples’ Day), where we celebrate a bad guy who distrusted the experts on the size of the Earth and did his own research (probably watched a Youtube video) and got it completely wrong, got lucky he ran into an unknown continent before starving to death/dying of thirst in the middle of the ocean, and died fourteen years later, still convinced he’d reached India, which was about as far from the Americas as you can get and still be on Earth. But while he wasn’t the first to discover America – Native American ancestors arrived 15-30,000 years ago, and the Vikings about 1,000 years ago - his actions were consequential, having major impact on the world. One of those major impacts is that since everyone else is taking the day off, so will I. I’ll blog tomorrow (Tuesday).
